Is your career reading on track?
Books and resources for your career edge.
I am a big fan of good books. They are like fertilizer and will nourish your mind - your most important asset.
Keep reading a few good books every now and then and you are off to a good start. If you can develop a regular reading pattern then even better.
I read wide and narrow - i.e. books on many topics and also those in my area of expertise.
Here I bring you a collection of the best books I have read - pick a few that you like and start with them.
A word of caution! - be prepared to be challenged, questioned, and get a kick up your rearside to get you going.
On thinking differently and getting challenged...
To stay ahead in your career you have to think differently. You have to be challenged. And pushed and prodded...the books here will do that very well!
The Dip
- just released this is a "little book that teaches you when to quit (and when to stick)".
We all go through periods when after an exciting start the going gets tough. Particularly true for new projects, ventures and careers.
Should you ride out the temporary setback or quit? Maybe it will get better if you keep pushing? What if it does not and you should quit anyway?
In this book, bestselling author Seth Godin will show you what sets apart the winners from the losers - the ability to identify the right Dip and stick through it.
I love Seth's books. They are very thought provoking.
This is an easy book to read but with great insights. You will be able to apply it to your career right away!
